ART REQUIREMENTS
Vector formatted files are the most reliable format. Unless you are producing a half-tone or photograph image, it is best to build graphics and text in a graphics-based program such as Adobe Illustrator which will produce a cleaner print image.
SOFTWARE, FONTS & GRAPHICS:
Files can be accepted on both Macintosh & PC formats in the following programs:
Adobe Illustrator, PDF, Macromedia Freehand, QuarkXpress, Adobe PageMaker, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and some cases CorelDraw.
Include all fonts (or convert text to outlines) and original graphics used to produce the file(s). Avoid suppling art with embedded images if possible.
Faxed artwork can be submitted for retypesetting, or art can be supplied on a disk or in a file sent via E-mail.
Negatives/film cannot be scanned and will be used as reference only and converted to art.
TIPS & E-MAIL
Save bitmaps in Mac binary format (not ASCII).
A layout/mockup of your art is helpful (PDF, fax, b/w or color printout) as well as a list of fonts used in Art.
When sending files through E-mail we recommend compressing them using Stuffit, or WinZip for faster transfer and to avoid corruption
